After Dermoid cyst removal

Had my left side of my ovary removed due to 10cm dermoid cyst back in january. All went well. Question is i get period pain in the left side but its not there how is this possible?

    Hi leanne.

    It could be like a phantom pain. It also happens to people if they have a arm or leg removed (your brain thinks its still there). Or maybe it could just be deffered pain. I have a dermoid cyst also & i sometimes get a pain in my leg & i know its not there. It will take sometime for your body to heal, i wouldnt worry about it too much just yet. Try a hot water bottle (it might help). Hope it gets better for you soon.

    Hi, could be scar tissue, you may still be healing inside. I had tubes, ovaries plus cyst removed about a year ago and still have some achy sort pain on left side. It will probably go soon but if not see your doc or gynae if poss. xxx rolleyes
