I Had a double inguinal hernia surgery on Mon 2nd Feb 2015,

I am nearly 4 weeks post operation now but the side effects are worrying, My penis as shrunk by half its size and also I have really bad pains over the hernia areas and also in my groin and testicles.

I went to the doctors about the pain but was basically told its early days see how you go., fobbed of.

HAve anyone had any similar problems? Or any advice please.

many thanks

I will be 4 weeks post op this Friday for a right hand repair, I have pains across the scar but the swelling has gone down, still very sore on the testical  attatchments that lead up to the groin, still early days.

    kind regards

I would wait a bit longer, maybe 3-6 months to see if there are any changes. Everyone heals differently and also time wise, just take it easy.  You will gradually start to notice the changes.  If after this time frame then go back to your doctor and keep going back until you have an answer to your problems.

I've had two surgeries, the first one was a big one this corrected some problems that doctors could not diagnose properly, the second surgery has been for gall bladder surgery.  What a big change.  I don't have that constant massive throbbing in my upper right side, but am still having other health problems.

I this had double hernia surgery and some work done on my inguinal ligament just over 2 weeks ago and I'm surprised at how much pain I am still in.  I have had 2 previous hernia repairs but the pain didn't last as long as is.

I can't be any more help but I can empathise

Well, you may be interested to hear that my penis grew to massive and very bruised proportions.  So much so that I had to go to my Gp with the age old saying "have a look at this".  He assured me that having tattood Speedos was the in thing and that my enlarged organ would go down.  It did and it is now normal ... whatever that may equate to.   I am sure you will return to normal also but you will have pain for quite a while. I had my op nearly two years ago and still get some pain and discomfort but it is getting less intense and less frequent.
