Jeanette,  After my TKR when attending the movies, I took my walker with me.....sat in handicapped row and propped my leg an foot up, by sliding it thru the walker.  My hubby zip tied towels on the bars for comfort.

    worked for me.

Yep, your not alone, after my TKR in June I've found it hard to sit in movie theater chairs and stand after the show. I always sit on the end and extend my leg in to the Ile to make it a little more comfortable. Now that I've had my right TKR last week im the not sure how it's going to be at the movies. I plan on taking a couple ibuprofen to help with the legs during the show.

Anyway good luck with your recovery.

    Jeanette,

I have a terrible time sitting for any lengthy period of time. In fact, I often stand, walk, and stretch for relief.

Yes, anytime my legs are in same position while sitting.  Ok for a while, but then I find myself crossing and Un crossing.  Last time I put my foot up on seat in front of me.  Luckily theater mostly empty.  Now I watch at home in bed.
