Age and gender question

I am unsure if I have CFS, however it certainly feels like it at present. I am a 57 yr old male, with 10 weeks of super crazy symptoms, 4 weeks of tinnitus with neuro type vertigo, followed by leg fatigue and tingling on face, scalp, hands and feet. Massive fatigue and upper body soreness, includong chest pains during recent 2 weeks. At this stage all other conditions have been excluded with MRIs and blood tests, all super good in fact. Do many CFs patients present like this? Do many late middle aged men present with CFS? Any commented would be appreciated.

Could be, although 10 weeks is a very short amount of time to get a diagnosis of ME/CFS. Whatever you have, your symptoms could resolve. If you do have ME/CFS, the best chance you have of getting better is to get plenty of rest. Huge quantities of rest. The red flag for this illness is getting fatigued after exertion, way beyond what would be considered normal. Go to the "solve me/cfs initiative" website to see if the symptoms listed there sound familiar.

Did you have a trigger to your symptoms? Such as illness or something like that ?

Hi Charlie,
I know it's not easy but try not to worry too much. Have you been checked for vitamin D deficiency ? That causes similar symptoms.
Alot of people seem to get post viral fatigue/syndrome that leads on to cfs/me and it may be from the chest infection also, i had laberynthtitis (an ear infection) which caused vertigo like affect that was very unnerving. This was a long time before the cfs/me but, i didn't have any huge symptoms to speak of until one day i sat up in bed and felt i was falling over, i requested a home visit from my gp it was that bad. It stayed for quite a while and i occasionally get recurrent symptoms of it. I have the tinnitus too.
As Jackie says, and cannot be emphasized enough, rest is a real key here. Do things in small amounts and remain hopeful. It is early days and if it is post viral, many people recover in a few months I've heard.
