I was wondering how old you were when you started having symptoms and were diagnosed with MD?
Is hearing loss always present?
I have been having vertigo issues all my lofe and have never had hearing loss.

I was 55 when I started having symptoms of Ménière’s. At that point I had already been wearing a hearing aid for a few years and the hearing loss in my left ear was getting worse. Nine years on and I was finally diagnosed with Ménière’s in January this year.

I was 70 when Diagnosed with Bilateral Menier's . Had gone to an ENT for hearing aids and was told I had it.
I take a daily water pill and have had only one bad attack. I was still in bed and leaned over to pet the dog and (who was laying beside me) head spinning and my left leg went into a spasm. Was still sorta lying on my leg Quite scary for the 1st time intro.
I find if I move slowly it does not happen so much and so far I only get dizzy when I lay down. If I sit up i so far have come out of it.
Bouncing off the walls at times but I tell people I am unstable & they have no problem believing that!

My first attack happened when I was in my 30's. Then I didn't have an episode for many years. Until I was about 57. My ENT refused to say it was MD until i suffered about 3 years. I have had a lot of hearing loss. Steroid injections. and Surgery (Endolymphatic sac surgery) to reduce the pressure. I lost my balance permanently so I walk with the support of someone or walking sticks. This is something my dad had also. I have an advanced stage of it though.

Age at diagnosis 46, but I'd been having widely separated vertigo attacks for at least 10 years before that - GP always dismissed them as viral.
As to hearing loss, depends on the opinion of Consultant, my hearing loss is minimal but my hearing fluctuates alarmingly during attacks
