Age Macular Deterioration .....plus

Hi, I have for quite a few years what's called AMD and the symptoms are many, some of which include eyes perpetually red, intense burning and blurring, and sunny light is my worst eyes enemy 😃 There's no cure and medicines to mitigate these effects are only dry eye drops and vitamins. I do plenty of the former but wonder how the vitamins help. I'm trying to find out more about them and wonder if anyone on this website might have the problem and found out something about the vitamins? And about any other means to mitigate these symptoms?
My retina specialist decided to have me test for glaucoma. Did the first one, and am due for the 2nd test soon. Are these 2 illnesses then connected somehow???
One other ophthalmologist suggested I see a cornea specialist. Anyone here thinks the cornea is the accomplice of the other two? what might be the connection of the 3 conditions?
Anticipating my big thanks for any ideas! 😮)
P.S. As I explained on the ___ thread here, sine about 4 days ago my upper eyelids are very swollen on awakening in the morning where the vision area left is less than one fourth. Could this be part of one of the 3 conditions (or illnesses) I mentioned?

I'm sorry I don't see an Edit as I seem to have made some errors and an omission. 😃

I believe vitamins promote general health, its good to take vitamins, but eye drops are good, its also good to wash your eyes with cold water. The optician may be able to give you something more effective for your eye issue. All the best.
