Hi BB52 - sorry to hear about your sciatica.. Nothing more miserable that I can think of.. I too, suffer.

You give very little information of what's been going for 5 months. Have you visited a good neuro surgeon. Xray? Catscan? Myelgram? MRI? Anything to pinpoint why your sciatica is chronic? Someone, somewhere should be able to lay out your options. In the short term, are you using any topical ointments? BioFreeze? Pain meds? Gabapentin? Is your pain a result of a specific trauma or did you just wake up one morning like that.

Give us a little more info and we might be able to help you a little bit more.. Good Luck!! I hope something changes for you really soon.

Hi there, I worked for 3 months, with syatica, but I just couldn't take the pain anymore. I went and saw my doc, she refured me to an oustopath, I have seen him 3 times now, I am waiting for an MRI scan appointment, then I have to go back and see the osteopath, he won't let me go back to work, and he says when I do it will only be part time. That's it do far.

Oustopath seems to think I just moved wrong. I have 3 points in my spine that are weak, but there is a disc issuein my lower back, that's what's causing a knock on effect, my hip sometimes locks, that hurts, I am meds from the doctor they help me.

NHS don't usually provide Osteopathy treatment, though there are exceptions speak to your GP or local NHS trust. And agree the pain is tiring and incapacitating.

The injection worked in minutes, I was amazed. It has lasted for over a year, except some numbness in my toe.
