    Hello Mary

I broke my ankle on both sides, surgery done twice on both sides. The air booth tore my skin really bad. I had to make a booth. I made it with the booth inside pading and a soft material ankle high house shoe. I had to tip toe to walk on it. But I made it work. Its a long healing journal. Hang in there!!! Thank you Veronica

i would take the boot off and massage around the scar tissue... will help with blood circulation!!! everything depends on how well your ankle heals , my whole process until i started walking wihout boot was 11 weeks. broke ankle in 3 places , with 3 plates, 7 screws in july 12th 2017 49 yrs old. my ankle is holding up fine and back to normal activities.. running , weight lifting .

i broke mu ankle in three places the beginning of February of this year. I was in a temporary soft cast for a week until the swelling went down and then had surgery. a plate and nine screws and 4 hours of surgery later I was sent home in my boot and was told I could take it off whenever! the entiring healing process my foot was out in the open. the only time I wore it was when I left the house, and when I started to WB. From reading different stories it seems like everyone is given different instructions and I going to assume each doctor had their unique ways of treating each person. I would just encourage you to follow the advice of your doctor- ultimately they always know best!

I started PWB at 6 weeks and FWB at 8- was walking and driving at 8 weeks as well! You will be back to normal very soon! hang in there xoxo
