Aircast walking boot heel pain advice

Posted , 1 user is following.

I've had my Aircast walking boot for 2 days. I'm non-weight bearing for 4 more weeks.

I woke up in the middle of the night because of pain in my heel. It felt like bone on hard plastic. I ended up taking 400g of ibuprofen and fell asleep again.

Does anyone have any tips for sleeping with a boot on? I'm required to keep it on for the stability and I will, but the most discomfort is coming from my heel pressing down. My leg is elevated on 2 pillows; firm one on the bottom and a softer one on top.
