Akathisia or anxiety.

I really don't know what is happening to me and all dr. I've seen is blaiming anxiety. Could someone please tell me, discribe what is is to feel like when you have akathisia?

Here is what I've been feeling: I woke up (after 10 days of dropping my Seroquel from 100 to 50) with this energy running in my arms, felt like my bones were melting... like I have acid running in my veins (not burning). my mind went to a complete state of confusions, despararion, like Im going crazy... I don't feel like I have to keep moving, but it makes the feeling better... I feel my foot tingling and I wish I could junp out of my skin because I feel very unconfortable in my skin.... Every time I get to 50mg of Seroquel this happens... is it withdrawal? 10 days after? any one could share the experience? Please... I would really apreciate

    HI LIKA,

please return and see your doctor. If this is withdrawal. It is very extreme

And it must be distressing,, however if it is... it will wear off, but maybe in the meantime you kneed a little more help... please take care and ask for

Help, you both need and deserve it... take care of yourself ... Deirdre Xiaoping

Hi Deirdre. My psychiatrist called me twice... He is really good because he cares about me a lot. every consultation he will spend an hour with me and on bolth calls he asked me everything that I was doing. But, he really believes it is my anxiety (I started seeing him 3 weeks ago) it wasn't him who put me on Seroquel. He even believe I can be med free. but I need to fix the mind first.  Any ways... my problem is that wheb you receive a lable, I feel that people don't really believe in you... this is the hard part sad

Thats why I wish someone could share experiences with me

      thabk you for answering smile

    Hi Lika,

No-one replied to you? How are you now? I realise it's now 2 months since you posted but yes, this is withdrawal as you must know by now. It can take several days for the level of the drug in your blood to drop and it seems like possible too large a drop at once (although the manufacturers don't take this into consideration when they make their pill dosages.) I truly hope youre feeling better now..
