What kind of blood thinners? I was taking baby aspirin. I had drinks. Mostly wine 🍷I don't know if certain blood thinners advise against alcohol. Maybe you can Google it or call dr Ofc. It is nice to have a lil r&r with friends and a drink or 2. Best of luck! LD

I drank a little alcohol while on blood thinners. Just a drink or two. Just don't overdo.

Depends on the thinners - I was on Rivaroxaban, and there is absolutely nothing in the leaflet that comes with them, so you should be able to have alcohol (in moderation) with them.
For me, I still stayed off the alcohol (after both operations) even though I was on Rivaroxaban. We found some special non-alcoholic substitutes for me to drink with family meals.

Hi Tracy, I was on blood thinners for a month, and definitely had a few drinks during that time. Mainly just small glasses of wine. Have a great evening, don't go too mad!!

I think we've all been through enough to warrant a couple of drinks, as everyone says just don't go mad! I found that my tastes changed and the vodka I'd be so looking forward to ended up being a disappointment. Enjoy it 😊

I was on Rivoroxaban for five weeks after my thr. I did have a few drinks, but have to keep it to a minimum and not too late in the day, as it makes it even harder for me to get to sleep.
It's kind of out a stop to my glass if whisky in the evening.
