Alcohol and ramipril

Hi, after visiting my GP today, and the BP being 200/120 he has started me on ramipril 5mg, simvastatin 40mg and bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg, however i have just read that its not a good idea to have alcohol with the ramipril, and its christmas eve tomorrow, What is anyone else's experience please, thankyou

    HAVE BEEN ON 5MG RAMIPRIL SINCE MARCH OF THIS YEAR. ALSO 50MG OF ATENOLOL FOR 20 YEARS PRIOR TO THIS . ASKED DOCTOR ABOUT DRINKING WITH THIS DRUG .HE SAYS IT IS OK IN MODERATOIN SO I HAVE KEPT ON DRINKING WITH NO SIDE EFFECTS . MY BLOOD PRESSURE IS NOW UNDER CONTROL SINCE TAKING RAMIPRIL. MAY BE I AM ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES

    hi I have been on ramipril 5mg since april and my blood pressure is under control.I also enjoya drink ( a few lagers at night) :lol:

    Hi, thanks for your help, and am happy to report that apart from a bit of mild nausea a couple of evenings I have no side effects to report.....I wouldnt mind a touch of anorexia though lol.....
