my experience in perimenpause is a different reaction to alcohol. if i drink more than one serving it will trigger my insomnia. i feel like cutting it out all together.

I'm the same. More than one alcoholic drink increases my heart rate and if i have 2 or more i cannot get to sleep. I rarely drink now

Alcohol has started to affect me a while ago like this; heart rate and only sleeping soundly for about 3 h before stirring for the rest of the night. I have been tea total for 3 weeks ; I plan to do a month, but I have also found that I have not missed it either, so may give up altogether (possibly😊)

At the start of my peri i was using alcohol to cope and it worked pretty good i was so amped out and the i started drinking like 3 glasses of wine like 3 times a week to control the symptoms,,, the wine finally stoped working and made the symptoms worse... HOT FLASHES,PALPATATIONS,INSOMNIA,IRRITABLY, ETC.... made me kinda sad but i was using it as a crutch so i would not have to take HRT....Probably not good long term right...xxxx

I've found that I can't drink more than 2 anymore, so I don't. It not only keeps me awake, it seems to rev up other symptoms, too...nausea, shakes,heat..ugh. And it doesn't matter if it's beer or a mixed drink.

So I think it's good that you've found your limit, so you can still enjoy it. Just drink k it early on.
