    Yvonne,

Whilst your symptoms may or may not be common, everyone is an individual and you really seek a doctor's opinion on this.

I'm sorry this probably isn't the answer you were looking for, but there is no way that anyone on the internet can give you accurate information about your symptoms.  Best to get things checked out properly.

    Joanna.

Hi Yvonne well done for remaining stopped for 14 days! As Joanna said you really need to see your GP who can assess your symptoms and investigate if necessary. Lets us know how you get on both with the GP and the keeping off alcohol. Be kind to yourself 😊

The headaches and insomnia are common with alcohol withdrawal. Your body and mind are reacting to a drug that has been taken away after 40 years, it needs time to adjust. Try to keep hydrated well and eat as best you can. Yellow diarrhoea is not a symptom and for this, I would strongly advise you to see a GP,

If you are like the rest of the population, that has been a heavy drinker, the thought of seeing a GP probably pushes the anxiety through the roof, but I would ask you to overcome this and see your GP. No need to go into your drinking, but just about the yellow diarrhoea.
