Alkaline Phosphatase Levels High

Posted , 3 users are following.

I am 28 years old, and for the previous 10 years (ish) I have elevated ALP.

It is currently at 197, it was 245 a couple of years ago but has been above 200 generaly since I was 18years old.

I have had an ultra sound on my bowel- which was normal.

All my other LFT's are normal.

My Vit D levels are normal.

My GP has now said it is just 'one of those things'.

Has anyone else come accross this??

Thanks

Hello. Mine have been over 100. Have you had a fibroscan? Maybe you should ask your doctor to see a specialist just to be sure.

Because all my other results are normal, and otherwiseI  have no related symptoms the GP has said it is 'just one of those things'.

I haven't had a fibroscan, all my other liver function test results have come back OK so I'm not sure if that's why.

not sure what specialist I would be referred too as it apparantly can come from bones, bowel, liver etc so I'm not sure which one I would fall under.

      very frustrating.

Hi. My initial blood tests were high then my doctor referred me to a liver specialist. Since then I have had ultra sounds and blood tests in emerge and everything was normal. I went for my scheduled (and not paid for) fibroscan just because it had been scheduled for weeks and now I'm waiting on results. I know my liver is fine already but still manage to sit and worry. Would have been too simple for them to tell me I'm fine yesterday. Instead they booked another consultation march 16 to talk about my results. More money for the doctor for nothing. Beyond frustrated!!
