Operation yesterday. Bit of problem, they couldn't do the spinal block. Tried a few times but my spinal wasn't playing ball. So I had a general anasthetic. All went well and I am zooming around with my zimmer frame. Pain control excellent. I did it!!!!!!!

    Woohoo Congrats

    Yeah they didnt end up giving me spinal either. So glad it all went well.

    Its amazing isnt it no more pain its just gone.

    Congratulations, you did it !!!  How did you sleep ?  How is the pain? Not to alarm you but sometimes day 2 post-op can throw you back a bit in the pain department - so, ask for it okay?   

    Amazing feeling isn't it ?

    I prefer GA and am lucky that I don't experience any nasty side effects -

      Yes second night was worsr.i couldn't sleep so i watch rubbish tv in the day room for 2hours. Finally got back to sleep at 3. Had wonderful shower and hairwash by myself more drugs and feel so much better. Got crutches today. They will test me on stairs tomorrow then home. I will have GA whenihave the other one done. No side effects either

    Well done Lyn, all over now! Onwards and upwards now, stronger each day. Get some sleep if you can and feel the joy that you did it!
