Hiya my fellow hippies..
well in on Friday for my TLHR all going well and fingers crossed I'm due to go home tomorrow morning, Friday was a bit of a nightmare as I was in at 6.45am to admission lounge and did not get taken down to theater until 4.20pm over 9 hours sat waiting to go down. Tell ya that's not the best way to kick your operation off π₯΄
first night bad night sleep last night a little better, had all my checks today and physical therapy work etc, the only thing is my blood pressure is a little low but nothing crazy.
So that's it first hip last October second hip Friday and all set now to grab my life back and get my bucket list back out....
All the best to folk waiting and for those in recovery, keep going life is there for the taking...this forum has kept me going through some dark times and couldn't have got here by myself, so one last heads up to my wonderful wife who has just been a rock and unbelievable in all that they have done for me..So my life goes to my Jane and lets start to live again yep.....

Well done Pete, sorry you had to wait all day for your op..... (I had low bp too.) Wishing you a really good recovery, and then you can get on with the rest of your life!

Thanks guys for all the replies, I'm now just over 2 weeks post op and all going to plan, I'm getting our every day for short walks and doing real well in the house, got to take one day at a time and just see where we go from there..π
Anyone out there thinking of maybe I should just put up with the pain etc, stop right now and get yourself in for the op, I know my life has been on hold for a good 18 months but now I can see I've got a future and got so many things I want to do and at the end of the day just to sit alongside my wife and say thank you for hanging in there and for keeping me going through that long dark tunnel.... I'm on my way out and I'll never have time to look back.....
