Allergic to Ramipril

Posted , 1 user is following.

Was prescribed Ramipril a couple of years ago to replace Co-tenidone when I was told I had asthma but had violent allergic reaction to it. My BP rose to over 180/120 and my heartrate to over 140. Took over a week to get me under control again. Anyone else had the same???

I sympathise totally with you as I have just spent the worst 48 hours of my life, only started to take this this week, first day loose bowel and feeling not at all right, second day nightmare, loose bowel, vomitting, cold sweats, increased heart rate, awful cramps, dizzy, muscle spasim, need I go on, on top of being under the weather already this has really thrown me....

While I appreciate everyone has a dfferent reaction to drugs and for some it may be ok, y reaction to this one has left me very nervous as it was so severe....
