allergies to antiviral drugs

Diagnosed with genital herpes, my doctor prescribed acyclovir to treat. Unluckily, I had dizziness and stomach aches after taking 3 doses. I saw her again, she gave me valtrex oral. But, I also had the same signs with acyclovir after taking 2 doses. While many people take them to treat herpes, they show me side- effects. Do I have allergies to oral drugs? Should I move to creams to treat as sores get more burning and itching, now?

I was told to drink a lot of water to help with the side effects. You might have to out weigh the side effects, if it helps stop an outbreak I personally will deal with it. Outbreaks are painful.

yep, I drink 3 litter daily when taking them, but side- effects still occur. Other people recommend tea tree oil, I applied it and my skin got more burning.  Now, I'm considering for applying creams. You know which creams work well and don't cause allergies

I see home remedies often work depending on each individuals. You have side effects with oral antiviral meds, it also means your body will react against foreign ingredients. Tea tree oil is good for treating herpes, but it may cause allergies if you overdose. Before using, dilute it with water and apply to your hand to test. In case your skin hand gets burning, redness and itching, you need to stop using it immediately. To make sure, you should apply antiviral creams approved by FDA. These may be safe and effective. Hope you better soon.

thank you! I applied tea tree oil without dilution, maybe I had allergy due to this. For FDA creams, my classmate and other people recommended to me prosurx. But, I'm still afraid of allergies. I must ask my doctor again before giving it a shot. And now, I'm applying it. I hope that sores will be gone away without allergies.
