Almost anxiety free

Hi all,

First time poster long time reader. I have had health anxiety since I was 5. I'm 37 now. I was always afraid to take medications for my anxiety so I suffered for a lot of years. I finally decided in March if this year, that it was time to try something. I also have an extreme fear of doctors so with covid, I was able to do a phone appointment which helped a lot. Since March I have been on an SSRI (Paxil) and have felt much better. That being said, when I do get bouts of extreme stress and panic, I get this odd sensation in my body. I can feel it first at the tops of my arms and then it creeps over my chest then throughout my body including my tongue. I describe it as feeling this intense heat but I'm not sure it is heat. I don't really freak out about it (thanks Paxil!) but I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this sensation before.

Thanks for listening 😊

people with anxiety can have all sorts of sensations anywhere on the body. they can feel tingling, heat and cold sensations, plus many others. I have had those happen on and off.

What you are experiencing is common . happy you are feeling better!
