Alopecia areata

my 25 yr old son has recently discovered a large balding patch on the top of his head, he has been isolating for 5 weeks and I am hoping this is a result of the stress and anxiety he has been going through.

we have no history of the men in our family going bald and he has terrific thick hair. I have looked this up lots and am hoping it will start to grow back once he begins to calm down

Can anybody give us some positive feedback having experienced it yourself?
