Already having a really anxious day !

Hi everyone,

I am already having a very anxious day thanks to this wonderful condition. Ive got a swollen gland in my neck but it's worrying me because its not painful and i was wondering if anyone gets swellings that arent on their joints? the top part of my left arm has been swollen for months now and is noticably bigger than the other arm. It feels very squishy almost like liquidy, is it possible something is blocked? when i touch my muscle there it is very sore so could it be a build up of lactic acid or something?

Thanks

Yes Hollymayshipton I'm very swollen on my right side neck/face ..it has flare ups just like with Fibro...I have Sjorens Syndrome, I was diagnosed with it a few years before Fibro...I had this swelling scanned too years ago and there was nothing there..which was good to hear....they have that on this site too....if you go to it and ask the same question it would be very interesting to see if there are others with the same...be blessed...have a lovely day..:-) xxxx

    Hi Hollmayshipton

I sometimes get swelling on my ankles and side of the hands near thumb end area on the hand. Have you been to your GP regarding the swollen gland in your neck?

Hope you find the reasons for your swellings soon

    Take care wink x

Hi Hollymayshipton, I have had swollen glands down one side of my neck which were really quite painful even when swallowing and a muscle at the top of my arm has been noticeably swollen but not squidgy.

I wonder if its just a fatty cyst. Sometime people get whats called a subaceous cyst on any part of their body. I once saw someone with a fatty cyst on the top of their head, on the scalp. Ask you doctor to be sure. Months is way too long to ignore,

Good luck, let us know what your doc says,
