ALT liver enzyme levels increasing but no sign of damage.

Hi all.

I am hoping someone could shed some light or given me some advice. I am currently going through tests to be a Live Liver Donor for my father. Most of my tests have come back perfect, lung function test great, ECG great, no underlying blood disorders etc. My scans showed a lovely abdomen and healthy anatomy.

My only issues are my Liver Function Test results. They have increased the last three tests. My ALT levels have gone from 39 to 65 to 76 in 6 weeks. And my current GAMMA lvels are 53 and AST 43. I have hadan ultrasound of my liver which shows it isn't fatty and again looks perfectly healthy.

I have been tested for autoimmune diseases (I already have Hypothyroidism) but they came back clear.

My current TSH levels are slightly high and a few months ago I was Hyper so my thyroxine was reduced.

Please can anyone help??

That's over my head but possibly are you doing a high protein diet thought I heard that could change those levels not sure if it would change it that quick though.

Thanks for the response. I do try to eat low carb and high protein. From my understanding though it's cards that can help a fatty liver along.
