Alternative Treatments

I started a discussion about lower back pain from my 4 level lumber degenerative discs. I found what I was looking for in the news paper article on "FehrFix" procedure and treatment. I long for something like this. See some of the article links I've supplied below.

Okay apparently you you live in the UK. Here in the United States we have a procedure like this that is being done in some of our hospitals on a trial basis to get it approved. You can also get it done without the trial but insurance doesn't cover it because it's experimental. The procedures they're doing includes the stem cells and this thick putty-like stuff. I know one person who's had it done to her shoulder and she had wonderful results but she had the stem cells in it. One of your links mentioned stem cells but it said that it was looking at doing it in the future. I would not go through this without the stem cells including. Also I have had laser back surgery I don't know if that's the same as laser disc decompression or whatever they called it. But laser back surgery is crap. It's not even experimental because the FDA has not approved it. Therefore insurance won't cover that type of surgery.

So essentially I paid $14,000 for nothing. No results I'm still in horrible pain, just nothing.

My opinion to you is I wouldn't do it at least not yet. Not until they can include stem cells.

Yes im born and lived in the uk all my life and we have a National Health Service which is I suppose a health care plan. The majority have paid towards it through our National Insurance NI. Some have Private Health Care but for me it's been a case of the horse has already bolted. Retirement would help me fund alternative treatment like what I've mentioned but nobody seems to give a dam. Great advice as I haven't heard of laser surgery until you mentioned it.
