Alternatives to Fybogel for Diverticulitis

Hello

I suffer from episodes of Diverticulitis and have recently started taking Fyobel thanks to these forums.  A friend of mine has not been so lucky however as she seems to have a reaction to the Fyobel.   Do any of you know of an alternative that she can take to help ?

    She could ask her doctor for Movicol or try some fruit like oranges, prune juice and grapes.

     use ground flax seeds soaked in milk or other liquid - tastes pleasant and gentle laxative!
