Yup.. but ot does vary when the hot flashes kick back in im the other way,, cant even move without having a flush.  But the constant cold feeling and cold flashes are just as bad.. Seemed to get the bad cold flashes about 10 - 20 mins after i eat.   You loose the ability to control your body temperature going through Peri and meno.. just something else to add to the huge list rolleyes

I live in Scotland so the temperature is generally cold but when I come home at night heating is on and fire is on and I walk around for ages with my coat still on I'm usually on the sofa wrapped in a furry blanket while my husband and son are complaining it's too hot!!

Hi , I'm not in peri I have had my ovaries removed so I'm post menopausal and I'm always freezing. I wasn't like this before ,I was always warm but now I'm permanently cold. It's horrible.

Hi Jackie, I think you may well need a thyroid check too! Anyone who just gets cold with the menopause, I've never heard of that before as usually you get hot flashes aswell. It is worth investigation. Love, hugs & x's.

Hi Tina, I'm on thyroid medication already I last had it checked in December just before I had surgery . With what you have said I will have it checked again in case the surgery (ovaries removed)has made it worse. X

Yes, usually after ovulation leading up to period......sometimes I swear it felt like I had a fever.....awful feeling.  I have yet to experience hot flash, I sweat when I sleep, but freeze during the day.

Hi ladies I'm glad I found this group. I'm 48 will be 49 in August feel like I've been going through some changes at least for the past year but before that it was really really heavy periods and bad bad plotting to the point where I ended up anemic iron supplements. I ended up with health anxiety after finding out about iron deficiency anemia. I have felt called especially this evening but I think it's more the weather my thing is the top of my legs a lot of times we'll feel like I have a fever or a sunburn has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry for the mistake I was trying to say heavy periods and clotting very bad clotting probably for a couple years 2 or so before I became iron deficiency anemic. I am experiencing dizziness sometimes and that goes away I am very close to my period right now a couple of days and experiencing some anxiety for the past few days I did get low moods where I feel depressed and for that very emotional and crying on and off for 2 weeks

Me too..   I'm always cold.  I layer my clothes and take iron at night just in case I'm low.   It's very rare that I'm warm.

I dress in layers as well Kelly and couldn't survive without my furry boot slippers 😁

Hi Vicky, that sounds very like thyroid disturbance. Go to your dr and get full blood count done. If its menopausal you usually get hot flashes aswell not feeling cold all the time. Worth looking into. Hope this helps you. Love and hugs x

      Hi Vicky,

I am cold ALL THE TIME, sometimes my extremities namely my left foot.  It feels warm to the touch but feels cold even with socks, slippers and a heating blanket.  My thyroid was checked last week and everything came back normal.  Feeling cold and having cold extremities is a symptom of peri. I know it sucks but knowing others are going through it makes me feel better.  My other symptom when my left foot is cold is my leg aches,  Kinda like its asleep but it just aches.  I have to move it side to side to find comfort.  My husband will also rub it, not massage but move his hand back and forth and that seems to help.  Its relaxing, which as everyone knows we need more of.

Love all you ladies....you literally have helped me get through some serious bad days, even weeks.
