Always hungry on Mirtazipine!

Posted , 5 users are following.

So my doctor added Mirtazipine, half a 15mg tablet at night on top of my current medication and I'm literally constantly hungry, it doesn't matter what I eat I'm still hungry afterwards and craving carbs and sugar throughout the day. They really help with the anxiety but the side effects are quite off putting because I feel so embarrassed due to the fact that I'm always hungry! Anyone else get this?

Hi helloworld.. do have the up & downs with cravings..  Planning ahead works for me.. Buy lots of fresh fruit & veg..  Cook up low fat meals & freeze.. Its the taste buds that causes the prob & my stomach has no idea what Im filling it with.

I went from 230-290 pounds on mertazpine.. It worked tho.. My anxiety left and never came back untill 5 years later untill my lifestyle fell off. I would get off and try welbutrin.. Just tell the doc you don't want to gain weight.
