Always the same sleep pattern

Hello, I am a 55 years old man.

Since three decades ago I always sleep fine from i.e. 11:45 pm to 5:00 am. Then I try to stay calm, meditate, etc. That takes me around two hours and then I fall asleep happily. The problem is that a few minutes later, when I am in a kind of nirvana or even lucid dreaming, th alarm clock does its job. So the only days that I enjoy sleeping are holidays.

Is this pattern typical? Any idea or solution? Is something hormonal or psychological?

Taking i.e. orfidal, I sleep better, but the pattern remains the same, perhaps a bit shorter, so I sleep a bit more, but the problem remains.

Thank you very much!

Simon.
