Am I being paranoid???!!

i (female) received oral sex a few weeks ago. In the past two days i developed a yeast infection and have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck. i would not have jumped to this conclusion, but when researching it said that these things are a symptom of hiv which usually occurs 2-4 weeks after being infected. i know contracting hiv through oral is rare but it is not impossible. (I cannot ask the guy). Should i go to the doctor? Am i being paranoid?

the chances are extremly slim. google and webmd are NOT your friend. they will convince you, that you have anything and everything. it never hurts to see a doctor after a new partner. ecspecially if for whatever reason you can not talk to/ trust that partner. even receiving oral sex can have a low risk of contracting some stds. i think you are being overly paranoid. women get yeast infections easily. for example if i wear underwear that isnt 100% cotton i usually get one. our vaginas are very sensitive. your lymph nodes could be swollen from any viral infection your body us trying to fight off. down to the common cold. but if you cant stop thinking about it go to your ob or local health clinic and ask for a full std/hiv panel.
