Am I having an asthma attack?

Posted , 4 users are following.

Please don't judge me but I have been diagnosed with having asthma and anxiety.

At the moment I feel like I can't fully exhale, my chest feels right and it's like my throat is closing up.

I haven't taken my asthma pumps but should I?

How do I know if I'm having an asthma attack?

I'm really scared.

What are the symptoms of an attack? I'm scared to google.

Thanks to anyone who replies x

Nobody is going to judge you here tinytitch.i think you need to use your inhalers asap and if you don't get any relief get yourself to A&E. Remember asthma can be very serious. Don't wait!

Haven't you got anyone you can contact. A neighbour or a friend perhaps?

I called a family member but I think they just thought 'here she goes again'.

I managed to see the emergency doctor who was very nice - she told me to take my inhaler and she checked my oxygen level, peak flow and listened to my chest.

I'm feeling a bit more relieved now.

      Thank you for replying.

      It's so horrible isn't it.

It's as if every day is a struggle and I fear the next attack.

      I hope you are ok?

Hi, there are a lot of people suffering with breathing difficulties at the moment, you really should take medical advice and ensure you have the medication you need. You should have a clear action plan to follow.

i have had the same with my throat, it really is not nice, docs put me on 40mG prednisolone immediately.

Do get help from your GP ASAP or A&E if urgent, it does appear that you need urgent help and some.

it sounds serious, dont worry about being judged, respiratory difficulties are frightening and dangerous.

    do get help please
