Am i hsv positive or not

Hi I'm having so many head trips right now. About 7 years ago my boyfriend called me in the room to show me he had an outbreak. I freaked out and went to the doctor who ran some std tests to include hsv1&2 so 3wks ltr my result was 2.05 i was told by my 1st doc that yes you definitely have hsv you should have been careful of the men youve been sleeping with.(we tested for std's before unprotection)made me feel like crap. Broke up with him. Now a year or so i ask to be retested same doc say no with numbers this high you definitely have it. In comes new doctor, a year into getting to know this doctor i ask her twice to be retested and she refused say you definitely have it. Now its 2018, i now have a new doctor(high rotation at the V.A.) i ask her to be retested cause my new boyfriend who is hsv positive and i wish to go unprotected. She say sure i get tested and my numbers went down to 0.08. So i asked my doctor what does this mean? The only answer i got was you were exposed....so am i positive or negative? Youve been exposed....so yes or no?youve been exposed. So now im really confused. How if at first im told yes I'm infected and my number was high 2.05 and then 7 years later after exposing myself with a guy who actually is hsv positive i get retested and my number went down an extreme amount to 0.08. I cant get a straight amswer am I or aren't I positive. Never had symptons. And im stressed out daily(twin teenagers) i get severe migraines(since i was 5yrs old) so some signs or symptoms should've shown by now? But I've never had any symptoms. Oh heres a kicker my boyfriend now says ive given him hsv1 cause all he had was hsv2??.(he had a girlfriend b4 me).Can any one give me a clearer and or definite answer?

Anything below 3,5 on elisa select herpes test can be a false positive.

Since you are now involved with someone who is hsv+, you should not go unprotected. Retest again in 4 months to ensure that your numbers do not go back to positive

And know the difference between types. Did you have both types tested? What type does the bf have? If you are negative for both, then he could possibly cause you to be infected going forward. If you both are only positive for type 1  (or type 2, as long as you both have the same type) you cannot get infected again...Unless one of you have a different type than the other or one of you are truly negative, then you could get it.
