Am I on the verge of recovery? or Eustachian tube completely blocked?

Hello,

I have been suffering from ETD and tinnitus since 4 months now. Initially I had high pitch ringing noise in my ears (more pronounced in the left), mucus build up in both ears, Eustachian tube not functioning well. After several visits to ENT, end of the first month, my ent was sure that it had caused due to ETD.

After several courses of antihistamines, antibiotics and many sprays in the last three months, now there is small ray of hope. My ears don't make cracking noise anymore. From my last visit to ENT i got to know that my mucus inside the ear had cleared up. But I was still experiencing pressure and cracking.

Since two days, the cracking has stopped, the pressure has reduced but still there and ringing now is more like hissing in low frequency.

Now that I don't have cracking noise, I am just wondering if my ears are healing or my Eustachian tube has been completely blocked?

My next appointment with ENT is in the next month. I am bit impatient about the progress and just wanted to ask you guys for answers.

Thanks and regards,

Abhi

I am not a doctor, do this at your own risk. Hold your nose and swallow. You should fill suction and your eardrum pull in. Hold your nose and lightly blow and you should hear your ear drum pop out. You can isolate your ears by pressing in on your tragus to block your eardrum.

Can your say what medication seem to help the most?
