Am I psyching myself out?

I am a diagnosed hypochondriac, yes. Let's get that out of the way. So don't try calling me that. I do sometimes worry that I have some sort of illness, but lately I have been experiencing some unsettling symptoms: my stomach feels horrid, but only when I think about it. I think I'm making myself sick by thinking I am sick? Or is this just part of me being a hypochondriac? Thanks smile

If you feel sick go to your doctor see what he/she says. If you think it’s anxiety it probobalt most likely is. I deal with this everyday. It came down to saying if I have a illness I have a illness so what it can be treated what’s the big deal. And that usually helps me. Good luck

I think that theirs probably not many on here who don't suffer with health anxiety, it's a much better explanation, better than hypochondria which is a totally different diagnosis, hypochondria is some one who looks for illnesses to suffer from, their not perticularry scared of the illness or the symptoms whereas someone suffering with health anxiety usually have very distinct symptoms like palpitations, intermittent stomach pain all of which are going to kill us until we realize it hasn't and move on too the next.

Daft as it sounds but for us it's mostly normal, yep go visit your GP and get checked out and you will feel better I'm sure.
