Long story short i water cleansed for about 10 days but i broke it wrong and ended up with bad bloating from undigested foods because i broke the fast wrong and got advice on to take a laxative and continue cleasing or eat fruits and veggies. I ate normally and kept taking the laxatives instead of fruits and vegs and as you know excessive diarrhea can cause internal hemorrhoids which i have.
I tried to poop and had sharp burning pains for the longesr and went to the ER. They took an xray and saw i had a lot of stool in my intestines and gave me an enema. It helped but still hurt like hell. I've had history of constipation so the doc assumed i needed miralax. She said straining from constipation can cause a tear in my anus and suggested a stool softener: Miralx. My constipation has been fine for months it was the diarhea that caused the pain and hemorrhoids not the constipation.
I dont want to take the miralax bcas i feel it wont help the hemorrhoids. Should i not take it and find medicine for it? Im 17 btw and my mom agrees with the doc even the diarrhea caused all this. What should i do?

Firstly why was you water cleansing?
Secondly you need to treat the piles so you don't need surgery go to the doctors and ask about the cream and susportries.
In terms of constipation I advise upping your water intake to 3 litres a day and eating as much fresh fruit and veg as possible try not to get the runs it will only make it all worse from experience.

I was also taking stool softeners as, like you, I struggled with constipation for years and didn't want to get my body needing laxatives again.
I've carried on with the daily smoothies and have eaten normally but healthily for my other meals although I did struggle with solids on Wednesday as my throat was sore from the tube they used for the general.
I also think that the dyhydrocodeine which I have taken a few times stopped me going to the toilet.
These threads are full of horror stories but I think maybe that because I generally have a healthy lifestyle, have no other health concerns and generally have a good diet, I have no suffered with much pain apart from some soreness and sensitivity.
Yesterday I did have my first movement and it was small and fairly hard so I think I still need to drink more and quit the dyhydrocodeine but it didn't hurt too much although there was a lot of blood.
I'm having sitz baths about 3-4 times a day as they are really soothing and I'm hoping they will keep me clean and reduce the chance of infection.
I wouldn't tell you not to take the laxatives as we're all different but if you have diarrhoea then you definitely don't need them. If you're not passing them you could tell ducasate which is a softener or a gentle herbal laxative like Senna which is what my hospital prescribed for me.
I think it's important to get a healthy diet and introduce soluble fibre like flax seed. It's expensive but you just sprinkle a spoon of it on whatever you're eating. Don't opt for cereals with insoluble fibre like fruit and fibre as I made that mistake and although I got things moving, it also made me take the first steps towards my haemoroiderectomy.
I hope you feel better soon.
