Amazon Kindle...

I do not have a tablet in any form, just three four laptops, three of which are in varying stages of decrepitude!

I think that my current laptop maybe to bulky to manage post op, and certainly in the ward.  I am wondering what other members have been taking into the hospital with them, and whether they are Amazon Kindle, but which model?  I need a reader and an email facility.  Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I totally appreciate your concerns about your cat, mine is a rescue cat and I couldn't face putting him in a cattery. I found a company called Animals at Home and a lovely lady has been looking after my cat whenever I go away since  I acquired him. She comes in twice a day to feed him , takes in the post and opens/draws the curtains. The cost is no greater than a cattery and my cat is very happy to be at home. Their details are on the web and    there are other companies that you might like to consider. Because feeding the cat will be difficult you might want to consider No Bend Pet Bowls, they are bowls on sticks and when you live alone they are a godsend, you can buy them on Amazon. Also I used plastic plates cups etc just in case I  dropped something and the cat trod in broken glass or crockery. If you prepare well it's perfectly possible to look after your cat when you get home.

Hello:  That is very good information, as I would much prefer that she be at home, even though I shall be missing.  I checked the bowls on Amazon and they are out of stock, but Ebay have them.  The other possibility, should all else fail is the pan and brush with long handles!  Better than nothing!

I picked up some paper bowls before Christmas that I thought would be good for the jellied foods.  I have some styrofoam stuff, but will bring in some plastic plates, etc.  Disposable things are a good option, too.
