Amitriptyline

My doctor has just put me on this to help me sleep as the pain is very disruptive.  I have been on it for 5 days now and I have to say it has worked very well so far,  Has anyone else found this?

    I were put on to Dosulepin for pain and to help with sleep. It does work for me, but the dr sugested I doubled the dose. No way, I don't want to get hooked on them I will just settle for one at night.

      Yes I agree - for that reason I have turned down gabapentin up to now.  Dont want to get hooked on anything!

    Hi Kersey, Amitriptyline is good for pain and does help with sleep. I was on this med for many years, thou i am now on Gaberpentin for Nuropathic pain.
