Amitriptyline

I've been very again taking antidepressants for the last year and a half. My new doctor decided she wants me to try amitriptyline, because it could help with my headaches and depression. I've had pretty bad headaches and nausea every day for the last 4+ months. I'm really nervous about even trying the medication. I plan on talking to my counselor about it tonight, but I figured I'd ask you, and see what kind of experiences you all have had with this drug.
