Amitriptyline and blurred vision

Hi, I want to know if anybody has experienced blurred vision whilst taking Amitripyline. I am 49 years old and have just been prescribed up to 100mg of this drug to help me sleep. I have only been taking it for about 2 months, I started off on a lower dose. In the last 3 weeks I have got blurred vision in my right eye. I have been to the optitions 3 times and have 3 pairs of new glasses, all of which I can't see out of them. Have been back to my gp and asked for a refferal to an eye specialist. But I'm now wondering if it could be the Amitripyline ! Has anyone experienced anything like this ?

I've been on these for 3 weeks only 10mg I have been having terrible vision especially my right eye , I was previously on sertraline ended up in hospital with a mri scan and also limber puncture as my eyes were twitching like the nerves , ,stopped taking them and my eyes were kinda back to normal, got prescribed these ans now afree 3 weeks since monday my eyes are worse than what they was , spoken to the doctor who has told me to stop taking them and make a emergency eye test , I am still under neuro as my symptoms havent gone away fully they think it's something in the tablets that's effecting my nervous system as since taking sertraline I cant swallow food without choking and my speech has been massively affected, I think there is something in there tablets that effect the nerves and the brain, *

Some intresting points in this thread.

I've been taking amitriptyline 10mg (low dose) for 3 months. I'm 44 year old male, and since taking them my eye sight has gotten very blurry. (I'm taking this due to pains around my left temple which could also cause issues with eyesight).

But I'm pretty sure, it's the tablets now. Other side affects, are issues with circulation and cold feet (This could be age but strange it's all happened after taking tablets).
