Hiya Guys..

I've been in Amitriptyline for a couple of years now, I'm on about 8 x 10mg every night, thing is I'm in need on dropping the weight for my LTHR had my right hip dine last October, but even last year I struggled to get down to the fighting weight for hospital to accept me, so guess my question is has anyone had weight problem with the Amitriptyline etc, I did look into this last year, I'm sure I found lots of posts on gaining weight or staying the same weight..

So any help or advice most appreciated..

yes they do make you put on a few pounds ,

on for nerve pain i was only 30 mg or twenty so not 80 but it goes up to 150 so your half way so nothing to extrem .

now i had a skin reaction to what pill who knows it might of been the amount as had an operation but i dropped the 30 mg and i feel like im carrying less water .

i recon they water retention and not so much weight as i woukd say 8 days and i can feel the diffrence , now i still have the numb foot swelling in my foot is going down and skin is looking healthy again well healthier lwts not get to over the top.

i know not what your on them for but why not half the dosage if doctors say ok that is

been on the things for a few years hate the things to tell rhe truth anyway so its nice to have a break from them not great for the foot though but take a few codien before night and hide the foot like that .

hope that helps get a few replys and go for middle ground type of thing
