I have been having double the periods on amlodipine. Anyone else going through this? My Dr. does not believe it's the med of course.

Just wondering how old you are. This can start several years before menopause, so it could just be a coincidence if you're in that age range.

I'm 46 and yes it could be a coincidence but what an odd one that my periods would go from being pretty regular to 13 to 19 days between right after I started taking amlodipine.

Could be that the run-up to the menopause has sensitised your body to the effects of amlodipine. Speaking from personal experience, the changes are pretty wide-ranging and start well before the menopause itself. Just wondering how high your BP is. If it's not too high - by which I mean if your diastolic (lower) figure is under 100 - it might even be worth trying a reduced dose for a few months to see if it makes a difference. But I wouldn't risk this if your BP is regularly above 160/100.
