Sue, sorry but we aren't medics so can't advise you.  You need to get that chest pain investigated by the experts and sooner rather than later.  Yes, it could be heartburn, but better to be sure than sorry, so do get anything more serious ruled out asap.

Dear Sue I had chest pain, and I also thought it was indigestion, as I do suffer if I eat wrong foods for me. It was Peri-carditis, inflamation of the lining surrounding the heart, probably caused by a virus,  but if I had left it the end result would possibly have been fatal.  Dr at the hospital told me he would much rather have diagnosed indigestion and would have been delighted if it was indigestion, BUT the next time, and always let us decide. Best advice I have ever been given, saved my husbands life using that advice, all he wanted to do was go to bed he was sooo tired, and kept saying there was nothing wrong with him, in fact he was really really cranky, (symptom of heart failure), when I rang the ambulance, no pain, (rare but real), in reality he was in congestive heart failure, he passed a huge clot from his heart, it went down his leg, if not would have killed him, border line survival, 10 days in hospital, he has heart failure, caused by dialated cardiomyopathy, (cause unknown), and with left branch bundle blockage. Good luck my dear, get well.
