      Hi

No I don't have any of the things you mentioned.

I have had bouts of sinuitis but I don't thinks it's a side effect however since I've had them long before the Amlodipine.

Hi don't know if anyone has read this . but only just found out .

n.nitrosodimethylamine . ndma. contamination of Valsartan & losartan . recalled in 22 counties highly carcinogenic.. But Losartan does cause breathing problems . makes you wonder if this stuff is causing deaths because of Covid 19. Been given in Spain . Italy. most european countries, UK as well. made in china !!

omg! This drug!!! I also had an itchy head! and hairloss.

Wow!! I haven't seen that yet.

My friend who worked for Big Pharma is always sending me info on recalls and black box warnings .

You may be onto something as far as Covid 19. Been given in Eastern European countries and made in China.

So much is kept under wraps when it comes to the manufacture and side effects that drugs can produce it's very scary.

We have to advocate for ourselves when we feel something is amiss . Doctors are not inside of our bodies.

Oh my gosh! I had not made the itchy head connection. I have that too. I wish I knew how long this stuff stays in your system.

I had swollen ankles. I figured if Amlopidine was preventing the usual pump-back-up action in my legs it wasn't doing me any good at all. Came off it.

      Hi Louise,

Did you go on an alternate med once you stopped the Amlodpine?

      Horrible drug.

no I am not on any meds now. I am feeling OK about that since my blood pressure is in the normal range.

The Amlodipine had my blood pressure at a much safer level ...but at what cost?

Doctors tell you the benefits outweigh the risk but sometimes the side effects and potential damage can be just as dangerous .

We are going to invest in a blood pressure monitor.

    • Edited

yes, thanks. i have a good one and have had it checked at the doctors a few times to make sure its accurate. So far my BP has remained in the average range

Just a thought, I am no doctor. but maybe invest in a blood pressure monitor. this is also my next step.

I have a bp moniter, or should I say HAD.

I went to use it the other day and it wasn't working at all. I paid enough for it too, a well known brand.

Guess I should get another but this time I wont spend as much since apparently price is not an indicator of quality 😠

      Hi

I had an Omron brand. This time I might go with Advantage Plus.
