Amlodopine side effects ....still.

Have been off Amlodopine for about 8 weeks and am still having weird side effects. Just today my nose was blocked, my lungs felt stiff and half-filled and the doom and gloom feels like it will never go. Do these symptoms eventually go away? Always feel ill, never 100%. Some days l actually feel ok but they are few and far between. I take Canderstartin for high blood pressure as well and now am wondering if this tablet is also giving me problems. Don't know which way to turn to be honest. Anybody any answers/opinions they can offer me please?

I was put on Amlodipine in August, when my BP went off into the stratosphere - 225/130.  I was already taking Bisoprolol & Bendroflumethiazide & immunosuppressants, which had kept my BP down.  I had stopped the immunosuppressants in April for other reasons.

As soon as I started the Amlodipine, my ankles became extremely oedematous & very uncomfortable.  My weight increased.  I went back to my GP who has now taken me off the Amlodipine & added in Losartan.  My BP is at an acceptable level but my weight isn't dropping, as my GP suggested it would & my ankles are still vast.  I have headaches, which from what everyone else says, are a result of the Amlodipine.  I have been taking the Losartan for a month now & had hoped that the effects of the Amlodipine might have worn off by now because I wasn't on it for long.

I also take Prednisolone which doesn't help.
