Amylase 38 - does this rule out pancreatic cancer

Hi, posted a few times about various abdominal problems, GP being great and working his way through things as the pain is all over at various times but mainly on left and middle in the upside down V between ribs.  I do have IBS and diverticular and also GERD, so have a lot of stomach issues and have had for many years, now 57 and female in UK.  Recently have had lots of intense burning pain in centre so beginning to suspect pancreatic type problems.  My liver tests are all normal and have just got amylase results which are also normal at 38.  Not coeliac as also tested for that.  I am due to have a CT scan of abdomen in a couple of weeks.  I know we are not doctors on here just normal people, but wondered whether anyone else agrees that following my tests it is unlikely to be anything sinister like pancreatic cancer.  Would my results be that normal and still be hiding cancer?  Thanks for reading

Me again, I think I have answered my own question with googling.  Apparently amylase is normal with pancreatic cancer.  Now really panicking as I was hoping it was good news with normal levels.

Your known abdominal issues could be causing your current symptoms.  Accept 'normal' for the time being.  Hopefully the CT is clear and your doctor works on sorting your current pain.  Stressing about the unknown does us so much harm.
