An abscess next to my anus

Its been i guess a week or so since i found this painful not too big kind of abcess next to my anus , i mean like my a-$Hole . it is very swollen and painful as well but it has no like tip or idk what to call it , it doesnt seem like it will burst anytime soon . Anyway , i went and got some medication for it , they gave me a gel which actually helped me with the swilling , it did reduce the size of it , but the pain is still the same . can u please tell me what is this and if it has anything to do with anal sex , because i had it for the first time sometime before this appeared .

    Perianal abscesses can take up to three weeks to reach their full size and then they should release the pus. The best treatment is to sit in a warm to hot bath and hope it brings the abscess to this point. If it doesnt you may need to see a doctor as it may form a fistula.Do not attempt to burst it in any way. You will spread the infection. Yes possibly caused by anal sex.
