An outbreak in a new place

I have written in here a few years ago regarding my recurrent outbreak on my right thigh. I have always wondered if it was herpes contracted from a previous partner but getting tested has proven difficult with full time work and two kids.

I now have a new outbreak on my lowerback. I assumed it was Shingles because the waistline is a common place but its only a small patch of blisters and I've now read that the lower back is prone to out breaks of herpes, same with the thigh.

Is it possible for me to get either shingles or herpes in a new place on the same side of my body. After reading I didn't think this was possible so now I'm wondering if i have both herpes and shingles.

I get headaches and feel rundown and achey with every outbreak.

I'm picking up my tablets this morning after the blisters developed yesterday afternoon.

I've always been so confused by all of this and so embarrassed to discuss with my doctor.

Can anybody offer some advice?
