ANA Positive new skin symptoms, but no diagnosis.

Last year I went in for annual blood work with the complaint of fatigue and joint pain. As a seemingly healthy 20 year old woman my doctor seemed a bit surprised so she ordered an Auto Immnue blood work up. It came back ANA positive with a titre of 1:160 Speckled. I was sent to a Rheumatologist but there wasn't much progress. The only thing my blood work showed was that my titre had gone up to 1:640 everything else was negative. I was told I have incomplete SLE. I do get a malar rash and I was working outside all last year. I have frequent fatigue and joint pain. I experience pleurisy from time to time and I have arrhythmia (I was told I may have P.O.T.S when I was about 13) Since then I have been experiencing worsening joint pain and it seems as though my fingers are twisting. Most recently I have had this circular itchy painful spot show up on my elbow and I haven't got the slightest clue what this may be. I go back to my Rheumatologist in November for my annual. Can anyone help with what my be on mt elbow and if they share a similar experience of knowing something is wrong but not knowing what it is?

hi. i can't say what the rash is. I had some extreme though short lived skin symptoms this year with no diagnosis from dermatology.
I have Behcet's not Lupus. Kind of similar. So many people have problems getting a diagnosis these days for any kind of auto immune disorder and I am not sure why. Are they offering you any kind of treatment plan? It may be time to go to a new rheumy but finding one who is more knowledgeable in the subject. Are you in the UK or elsewhere?

I am in the US. It took me so long to get reffered to a Rheumatologist because they are a specialist. Just to get my yearly work up done is a two month wait, it is crazy! It's tough to pin point the issue because it hasn't presented itself in my bloodwork yet. My doctor did say that there is something wrong, but that they aren't able to pin point it yet.

It is frustrating for you. I am just aware that so often these kind of disorders are diagnosed on a mixture of blood tests and history. There is no absolute sure fire test for things like Lupus. Just smoking gun results like off blood tests and history of symptoms.
