Hi, nothing to worry about at all. I was wheeled down at 9.30 having had an antibiotic and relaxant in my hand. sat on op table, surgeon said, heres your double gin an tonic, injected into my hand, I have a yin/yang tattoo on my back and anethetist asked what it symbolized before I could utter inner balance I was out cold, never even felt the epidural!! woke up hour and half later all done. No clips, external stitches, just disolveable and biggest plus no dressing after 6 hours, having air to wound, I think, helped with the healing, no scar pain at all really, recommend E45 to massage for a few weeks after it has sealed and then include Bio Oil and E45 going forward. Nothing perfumed under any circumstances. Hope this helps!

hi there,
Had my new hip last August via spinal block. A registrar tried inserting the needle twice into my spine - with no joy. then the anaesthetist in charge took over and hey presto got it in....
First they numb the area with a local anaesthetic injection. Then the larger needle goes in deeper between the vertebrates. in no time, you lose feeling from your waist down.
My doc then sprayed my waist with a freeze spray to see if I felt it, and I jumped! Then he sprayed my legs starting from my ankles up until I stated that I could not feel anything... which was an indication that they were set to go as the spinal block had
taken effect.
What a weird feeling, it was like I was an astronaut floating in the air!
REST ASSURED it works, and although I was awake through
it all, I felt no pain at all.
go for it! I am like a new woman now - 5 months on!
GOOD LUCK -
ps I had mine done at the LEIGHTON Hospital Crewe, by MR Stephen Duckett, a brilliant surgeon! Both my legs are the same length too!!!
