Lower the fibre, its just more for your body to pass. Take laxido one sachet, plus 500mg magnesium citrate daily, makes things really soft and easy to pass. This was advice from my colo rectal surgeon, and he said you can take it forever if need be as its not a stimulant laxative. My fissure healed after years of pain.

too much fiber can bulk up your stool. I was told that before surgery. Every day I use stool softeners, laxatives when the stool softeners are not helping. if you are on any High Blood pressure or Nifedipine take Magnesium citrate 6 or 8 hours after or before you take it. Magnesium citrate is known to lower blood pressure. I also use a shower sprayer attached to my sink for hot and cold to clean the fissure area. sit on a heating pad on medium for 20 minutes at a time. I hope you get relief soon. Very soon.

sad to hear that botox didn't work , although it works rarely ,still lower the fiber it bulks up stool ,hence difficult in passing stool , if it doesn't heal ,u should go for lis , it's better than what people project it to be , best of luck Rebecca 🤞🤞

I had pelvic pain but it went away. I wasn't certain if it was anything related to anal fissure. I have Spinal Stenosis also so I'm always in pain regardless 😦

I have a little discomfort in my pelvis at times, the fissure is still healing up. my surgery was 4 weeks ago. I'm hoping in a few weeks to be closer to healed but no guarantee. I been doing everything I can think of and seeking help to get healed completely. Yes this is very draining and discouraging but we cant stay like this. I hope we are all healed up very soon!

Sorry to hear you are still having issues. I had Botox and mine worked almost immediately. I'd say within 1-2 weeks I was 100% pain free. Calmol is a suppository you can get at your local drugstore behind the pharmacy counter. This helps tremendously. Continue sitz baths and ibuprofen but I was told that Botox does not work for everyone.
I hope it gets better for you soon!
