Its been just over a month since my surgery and experiencing concerning incontinence.

had a log (poop) in my underwear after breakfast and coffee, couldn't get to the bathroom fast enough! Unable to stop it, it seemed my sphincter muscle is not able to stop, will this go away? (Yes i know Sphincterotomy took some muscle away) if it doesn't is there exercise I can do?

2 procedures

Right Lateral Partial Internal Sphincterotomy

Fissurectomy with Flap Closure of Anal Fissure!

Also still experiencing pain after a bowl movement and stopped bleeding the other day.

what a painful experience this has been! recovery was such a long time and for two weeks i was in the worst pain you can imagine! Anyone else? Care to share your fissure experience and post surgery recovery?

i had LIS on right side and a large twisted thrombosed skin tag removed a week ago. i didnt have pain from the fissure before surgery but the thrombosed sentinel tag was extremely painful.

sin e the surgery my pain is worse . I talked to my surgeon who said it was most likely the cauterized sore from removing the tag that was opening and closing. He doesnt want to see me until my postop appointment in June. ive had a fissure 15 years ago with LIS on left and the te overy was quick compared to this time. You mentioned your recovery was 2 weeks--im hoping mine is better in 2 weeks coz now is still crazy all day pain after morning bm. are you still getting better? i need hope.
